Description
Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) is soliciting proposals for the construction of an Energy Storage System (ESS) with a capacity of 250 kW and a duration of 1-2 hours. This system will be co-located with DC Fast Charging (DCFC) for electric vehicles (EV) and will be capable of exporting power to the grid following utility signals for services like peak shaving and solar smoothing. Additionally, the ESS must be able to operate as a microgrid during outages, providing grid-forming capabilities to support the DCFC systems. The solicitation requires suppliers to indicate if their proposed solution meets the requirements outlined in Attachment D, though non-compliance does not automatically disqualify a response. OUC will evaluate the best overall solution for their needs. The contract term begins upon receipt and acknowledgment of the purchase order and remains in effect until all contracted work and warranties are satisfactorily completed. Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in their proposed discipline.
