Description
This solicitation is for Phase 1 construction of Hillcrest Middle School in Trumbull, Connecticut. The project includes temporary fencing and sitework. Bids are due on July 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site through the Construction Manager, Bismark Construction Company. Trade Package 1.00C (Temporary Fencing) does not require DAS pre-qualification. Trade Package 1.32A (Sitework) does require DAS pre-qualification. Bids for packages estimated to exceed $1,000,000 must be accompanied by a DAS Prequalification Certificate. Bids must be submitted in duplicate, in separate sealed envelopes for each bid package, with a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the bid amount for projects estimated over $50,000. Liquidated damages are $1,000.00 per day. The contract must comply with Connecticut state contract compliance requirements, including a mandatory goal of awarding 25% of the state-funded portion to Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and 6.25% to Minority, Women, and/or Disabled-owned businesses (M/W/DBE).
