Description
This solicitation is for market research purposes to identify interested parties for potential future acquisition of services to repair four existing fan-coil HVAC units within the Aircraft Control Tower, Building 1806, at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment necessary for the replacement of these units, adhering to all applicable building codes, Air Force regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer's installation instructions. The project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238220. The work involves replacing existing fan-coil units on floors 1, 2, 4, and 7. This includes disconnecting and removing old units, supplying and installing new 4-pipe cassette-type fan-coil HVAC units compatible with the existing Energy Management Control System (EMCS) architecture, and reconnecting them to existing chilled and heating water lines. New thermostats and control wiring will be installed, and the new units will be integrated into the EMCS. The project also includes replacing an existing fan-coil unit on Floor 1 with a new electric unit heater, also integrated into the EMCS. The contractor will be responsible for daily cleanup, providing a third-party certified testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) report, and coordinating with the Base Fire Marshal for life-safety device testing. Training for base maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of the new units will also be required.
