Description
Spindletop Center is soliciting proposals from public accounting firms to provide annual financial and compliance auditing services. The engagement will cover the fiscal year ending August 31, 2026, with potential for five one-year extensions through August 31, 2031. The audit must be conducted in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards, including the requirements of the Uniform Guidance and the State of Texas Single Audit Circular. The selected firm will be responsible for auditing the general-purpose financial statements, combining statements, and other schedules, as well as assessing compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The purpose of the audit is to ensure the financial statements fairly present the financial position, results of operations, and cash flows, and to determine compliance with laws and regulations for transactions that may materially affect the financial statements. The audit will also include an understanding of the internal control structure and identification of any reportable conditions.
