Description
The City of South San Francisco is soliciting bids for as-needed public works construction services across three categories: Signals/Street Lights, Concrete/Paving, and Signs/Markings. The City plans to establish three separate benches of up to three contractors each to handle various small-scale maintenance and improvement projects within the public right-of-way. These projects will be issued via task orders on an as-needed basis and may require timely responses. Compensation will be based on Caltrans Equipment Rental Rates and Labor Surcharge, plus a fixed contractor markup of 15% for labor, 15% for materials, 10% for equipment, and 5% for subcontractor work. Pricing for work not covered by standard rates may be negotiated. The City is looking for experienced contractors capable of delivering high-quality work under this on-call, task order structure.
