Description
The City of Vista is seeking proposals from qualified design-builder (DB) entities for the Wave Improvements Phase I (CIP NO. 8398) - Flow Rider Resurfacing project. The selected DB will be responsible for providing a turnkey project that includes engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout services. The project involves replacing the existing Flow Rider surfacing with a new system at the Wave Waterpark, addressing ongoing issues with the current spray-coat foam system which has a short lifespan and leads to maintenance delays. The City is interested in a durable, UV and chemical-resistant foam-and-vinyl surfacing system with a service life of at least 10 years, but is open to other proven surfacing strategies. The selected DB will be responsible for designing the new surfacing system and concrete substructure, obtaining all necessary permits, scheduling work to minimize operational disruptions, and procuring all required equipment and materials.
