Description
The North Carolina Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, is soliciting bids for dredging approximately 42,000 cubic yards of material from the Cow Channel at Hammocks Beach State Park. The dredging will create a channel with a maximum depth of 8.00 feet below mean lower low water level. The dredged material will be used for beneficial oceanfront placement on the beach of Bear Island, behind a temporary berm. This work must comply with all state and federal regulations, including those from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Bids will be received for a single prime contractor on a lump sum basis.
