Description
The County of Ontario is seeking proposals for a Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment for the SPRING Building project at Finger Lakes Community College. This project involves a hazardous material study related to the construction of a new greenhouse, office, and lab building, as well as the demolition of three existing structures and associated site work. The scope includes designing and implementing a sampling and testing program for the buildings and impacted sites, and interpreting the results to guide demolition plans, waste handling, and future construction. The selected consultant will conduct a Phase II environmental investigation to identify potential hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, and PCBs in soil, groundwater, and building materials. A pre-demolition survey of the three structures will also be performed. The consultant will be responsible for sample collection, laboratory analysis by a New York State-certified lab, and interpretation of results. Deliverables include a final report with detailed findings and a GIS data set of sampling locations.
