Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to identify potential sources for a Real-Time Location System (RTLS) Managed Services Agreement to support the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. This requirement includes supplies and services for the remediation, optimization, and expansion of the existing Centrak RTLS. The scope of work involves upgrading the RTLS platform and software, optimizing infrastructure, and establishing a battery lifecycle program for tags and hardware. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, achieving room-level accuracy where required, and maintaining compliance with current Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supported hardware, software, and cybersecurity standards. The project aims to restore full operational health of the RTLS, which currently consists of tags, infrastructure devices, servers, and client applications. The contractor will assess performance, accuracy, and coverage, recommend upgrades, and implement necessary changes. This includes software and service upgrades, infrastructure optimization, and a comprehensive battery replacement and health program for all Centrak tags and battery-powered infrastructure devices. The contractor must also provide integration services with existing platforms as needed and ensure all work is performed by OEM-certified personnel.
