Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Research Drilling Program requires the supply and delivery of bentonite grout and sand for the construction of groundwater monitoring wells along the Atlantic coast of Virginia. These supplies are needed for an ongoing joint funding agreement between the USGS, the Virginia Water Science Center, and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VA-DEQ). The specific materials required are CETCO Pure Gold bentonite grout (50-lb bags, not to exceed 1,300 bags) and FILPRO sand #3 (50-lb bags, not to exceed 200 bags). Deliveries will be made on an as-needed basis, coordinated by the USGS, with a maximum of seven total deliveries. The project is scheduled to occur between June 2026 and September 3, 2027. The vendor will be responsible for coordinating all activities with on-site personnel for transportation and off-loading of supplies. USGS personnel will have a forklift available for unloading. Pricing should include all material, handling, and delivery charges on a per-bag basis.
