Description
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather ideas and information from respondents experienced in marina operations. The potential service location is Jim Chapman Lake at Cooper State Park, situated in Hopkins and Delta Counties, Texas. This RFI is not a procurement opportunity, and no contract will be developed in response to it. However, TPWD is exploring the possibility of leased development and operation of a full-service marina facility. This initiative aims to provide safe and accessible marina services to the boating public while safeguarding land and water resources through responsible development and operation practices. The potential marina could offer amenities such as wet moorings, dry storage, boat rentals, fishing guide services, a ship store, fuel, and restrooms. Respondents are encouraged to provide details on roadway improvements, marina development and installation (including docks, breakwaters, dry storage, fuel, rentals, ship store, restrooms, sewage pump-out, fire suppression, and utility connections), development schedules, potential schedule impacts, company capabilities and features, maintenance and repair strategies, management approaches, security plans, revenue models, and relevant technology for marina management, booking, and billing.
