Description
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is seeking proposals for the inspection, rebuild, balancing, and shipment of a complete between-bearings centrifugal pump rotor assembly for their condensate pumps. This service is for a Clyde Union Weir DSB 200/250 Centrifugal Pump, Serial Number: AB00160-05, located at the Astoria Generating Facility in Astoria, NY. All work must strictly adhere to original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, tolerances, and applicable industry standards. The contractor must source all replacement components directly from the OEM; third-party or non-OEM manufactured parts are not permitted. The scope includes a detailed inspection of the existing failed rotor, photographic documentation, dimensional measurements, and an as-received inspection report. Reusable components may be repaired by welding and blending, and new impeller wear rings will be installed and machined to OEM clearances. Both individual impellers and the fully assembled rotor will be dynamically balanced per OEM criteria. Final rotor TIR will be recorded after assembly. Upon completion, the contractor shall perform a final inspection and package the rotor in a fully supported, cradled shipping container suitable for transport. The rebuilt rotor and any surplus NYPA-owned parts shall be shipped to the NYPA Astoria Facility. Deliverables include as-received inspection reports, photographic documentation, dimensional records, balance reports, final inspection documentation, and a list of OEM parts replaced or repaired.
